US athlete Ryan Crouser sets shot put world record
He throws 23.37-meter in US Olympic Trials, breaking a 31-year-old world record
ANKARA
The 2016 Olympics champion Ryan Crouser of the US set the men's shot put world record late Friday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The 28-year-old athlete threw 23.37-meter at the US Olympic Trials.
His fellow countryman Randy Barnes has been the record holder with 23.12 meters since 1990.
