The Netherlands summoned the Iranian ambassador to The Hague on Sunday over Iran's attack against Israel.

Dutch Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot shared on X that she summoned Hadi Farajvand to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

"I have decided to summon the Iranian ambassador in The Hague to convey our condemnation regarding the dangerous Iranian attack on Israel last night," she said.

The country's Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, also strongly condemned Iran's strikes on Israel on X.

"The Netherlands condemns Iran's dangerous and reckless attacks in the strongest possible terms," Rutte said.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a barrage of drones and missiles at Israel late on Saturday in response to its April 1 attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria that killed seven military advisers including three senior commanders.

The IRGC is said to have fired more than 300 drones and missiles in an attack that lasted several hours, many of which were intercepted by Israeli air defense systems. The US, UK and France also helped ward off the attack.
