Turkish cuisine was promoted Sunday in France as part of Turkish Cuisine Week.

Speaking at the event in Paris, Turkiye's Ambassador to France, Ali Onaner, said Turkish cuisine is a rich, ancient and historical cuisine that represents all Turkish culture and the Mediterranean.

During the event, unique dishes of Turkish cuisine were served to the guests.

A cooking workshop was also held with a group of 20 French journalists and social media influencers taking part.

Turkish Cuisine Week is organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency and with the support of the Culture and Tourism Ministry.

Held from May 21-27, it aims to showcase Turkish dishes "with all their original qualities as the crown of our tables," according to the presidency.

Meals prepared with creative presentations by Turkiye's world-famous cooks will be offered to visitors in different countries.

Promotional activities will also be organized by Turkiye's embassies, consulates and representative offices all over the world.
