Iga Swiatek, Danielle Collins and Stefanos Tsitsipas booked their spots in the Australian Open semifinals on Wednesday.

Poland's Swiatek beat Estonian veteran Kaia Kanepi in an intense battle, coming from a set down to snatch a 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 victory.

Her opponent in Thursday's semifinal will be the American Collins, who brushed aside France's Alize Cornet in straight sets for a 7-5, 6-1 win.

The other women's singles semifinal will be between top-seeded Ashleigh Barty and American Madison Keys.

Tsitsipas powers through

Fourth-seeded Tsitsipas swept past Italy's Jannik Sinner in straight sets to stay in the hunt for his first Grand Slam win.

The 23-year-old Greek was dominant as he marched to a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 victory at the Rod Laver Arena.

He will take on the winner of Wednesday's other quarterfinal between US Open champion Daniil Medvedev and Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Rafael Nadal and Italian Matteo Berrettini have been drawn together in the first semifinal, with the 35-year-old Spanish superstar favorite to reach another final as he chases a record 21st Grand Slam title.
