Rafael Nadal on Monday sealed an easy victory over Australian Jordan Thompson to reach round two of the 2022 French Open.
The 35-year-old Spaniard secured a straight set win with 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 at Court Philippe Chatrier.
On Wednesday the 13-time French Open champion will take on French Corentin Moutet in the next round.

Defending champion and number 2 seed Barbora Krejcikova said good-bye to the French Open.
The Czech player lost to Diane Parry of France 6-1, 2-6, 3-6 in the first round of the women's singles.
In addition, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka from Japan was knocked out of the tournament by her defeat at the hands of US player Amanda Anisimova 7-5, 6-4.
