Turkish energy minister meets several counterparts at WEC
Yildiz meets with Iraqi Dep. Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and energy ministers of Algeria, Korea, Iran and Russia at 22nd World Energy Congress (WEC) 2013.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz met on Wednesday with Iraqi Dep. Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Husayn Ibrahim Salih al-Shahristan and energy ministers of Algeria, Korea, Iran and Russia in South Korea where he had gone for 22nd World Energy Congress (WEC) 2013.
WEC hosts the world’s largest and most influential energy event covering all aspects of the energy agenda. The Congress is staged every three years, providing a platform for energy leaders and experts in all aspects of the sector to address the challenges and opportunities facing suppliers and consumers of energy.
The Turkish minister also met with the representatives of the countries Turkey has relation and cooperation in energy as well as the congress program.
Yildiz met with Algerian Minister of Energy & Mining Youcef Yousfi, South Korean Minister of Trade Industry and Energy Yoon Sang-jick, Hamid Chitchian, the Iranian energy minister, and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak during the congress.
Taner Yildiz also had meetings with Chairman of World Energy Council and Igor Sechin, the President of Rosneft at Russian Regional Development Bank.(AA)
