Ozturk also said "we want to broadcast "news of peace" as we want to report news for the moments which illustrate the happiness of people.

"We are reporting news under dangerous conditions in which wars take place," said Ozturk.

Ozturk highlighted, "We believe that Russia in the UN will make a great effort for peace and for ending the wars."

OANA, an eponymous network of news agencies in the Asia-Pacific region, is holding its 15th General Assembly from September 18-21 in Moscow, as Turkey's Anadolu Agency (AA) is handing over the term presidency it has held since 2010 to Russia's Itar-Tass news agency.

In the meeting held in Moscow, the new chairman and secretary general for the organization will be elected. AA chaired OANA for the term 2010-2013.(AA)
